Dr Jamie Harris

Jamie is passionate about his dentistry and loves coming to work each day. He graduated from the Adelaide University in 1979 after finishing at the top for clinical studies in his final year.

Dr Harris worked in Mildura in 1980 and rapidly established a highly successful practice. The practice grew to 6 dentists before Jamie took a “Sea Change” about 1995 and down sized to his current level. It was the first practice in the history of Australia to be a winner in the Telstra Government Small Business Awards. This was for the service in both private and public dentistry.

Dr Doug Gomez

Dr Doug joined the practice in 2007 and has been an instant success with his innovative, caring nature. He brings with him a whole new era of laser dentistry.  Laser dentistry is virtually pain free for most people and enables him to perform many procedures that were not possible before. He is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute www.learnlasers.com , which is based in San Diego, California, USA and he completed his training there.

His special interests include restoring missing teeth to achieve function and cosmetics. He was only the 2nd Dentist in Australia to be licensed to perform Lumineers http://www.lumineers.com/  a revolutionary ‘veneer’ type restoration that requires no injections and no removal of sensitive tooth tissue. He was trained in the USA and visited the Santa Maria, Californian factory in 2008 and meet with Dr Epstein the inventor and founder of the Lumineer Company.

He has a wonderful wife Rachael and 3 (almost 4) terrific youngsters whom he adores.

After working in the Dental Industry for a number of years I had grown bored with my job. I moved back to Mildura to study and began working with Jamie part-time, too earn some extra money.

I enjoyed working with Dr Harris and his team so much that I took a full time position at his surgery and now I can say I feel more than satisfied with my dental nursing career.

Hi, my name is Deanna (Dee) and I have 25 years Dental Assistant experience. My employment with Jamie and Doug over the last 3 ½ years has been the most enjoyable in my working career.

The practice is small and personal which gives you the opportunity to really get to know your patients and give them the care and consideration they deserve.

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am usually the first person you will meet at Mildura Dental Group. I moved to Mildura from Sydney with my family in January 2007. My husband is a school teacher and we have two children in high school. Coming from a large city to Mildura was a bit of culture shock, but we have grown to love the town".

I enjoy meeting and greeting all our patients and feel very honoured to have the pleasure of being part of a wonderful and caring team that have helped to change many people’s lives.

Hello, my name is Sue. I’m married with three children and have lived in Mildura for most of my life. Coming to the dental profession has been a life-long dream of mine since I did work experience with Dr Harris when I was in year ten many moons ago. I was lucky enough to cross paths with Jamie yet again in recent years, where he offered me a chance to pursue my dream job. Since coming in to the practice, it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with my colleagues which I now call my friends.

Hey, I’m Carmen. I’ve been nursing for a couple of years now. I grew up in Mildura but moved to Melbourne with my family for a few years before deciding to take the plunge and return to my home town. I love the girls I work with (the boys are OK too) and everyone is so much fun!
